Fat, Gifted & Black is a fictional band formed by members of the panel show Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
Origins[]
On the 31 December 2005 Mark Lamarr made his final appearance on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Phill Jupitus and Bill Bailey decided they couldn't do any more episodes without Mark, they decided to form a band and earn their money in pubs and clubs, they recruited their friend Athelston Williams who appeared in many identity parades on Never Mind the Buzzcocks. They decided to call their band Fat, Gifted & Black, a name which is formed by one aspect of each person, with Phill Jupitus being Fat, Bill Bailey being Gifted and Athelston Williams being black.

The band were joined by some of the guest hosts of the eighteenth series and they performed as the lead vocalist.
- Ricky Wilson made an appearance when he hosted Never Mind the Buzzcocks on the 27 March 2006.
- Lauren Laverne made an appearance when she hosted Never Mind the Buzzcocks on the 3 April 2006, during her singing, Jupitus & Bailey refused to play when Athelston did something that annoyed them.
- Huey Morgan made an appearance when he hosted Never Mind the Buzzcocks on the 17 April 2006, Morgan thought that Jupitus & Bailey were overplaying and stopped them, he was however impressed with Athelston.
